(NEXSTAR) – The Girl Scouts of the USA are debuting a new cookie for the 2026 season, this time taking inspiration from a popular ice cream variety.
Exploremores, which honestly could’ve been a great name for their discontinued s’more-flavored cookies, is in fact a new “a rocky road ice cream–inspired sandwich cookie” made with chocolate, marshmallow and almond flavors, according to the Girl Scouts of the USA.

The cookies will be produced by both ABC Bakers and Little Brownie Bakers, the two companies with licenses to produce cookies for the national council.
“Girl Scouts across the United States will offer the Exploremores cookie nationally, both online and in person at local booths, during the upcoming 2026 Girl Scout Cookie season,” the GSUSA writes, in part, in a press release. Seasons generally run from January to April, but “local timing varies,” according to the organization.

Despite the addition of a new cookie to the lineup, the 2026 cookie season will have fewer offerings than last year’s: The Girl Scouts had previously announced that two varieties — S’mores and Toast-Yay! cookies — would no longer be offered after the 2025 cookie season.
At the time, a representative for the GSUSA did not provide a specific reason for the cookies’ discontinuation, simply saying the organization “routinely” reevaluates its lineup.
More information on the GSUSA or its cookie varieties, including purchasing instructions, can be found at the official GSUSA website.
