Texas Roadhouse to open 14 new restaurants in 11 states by end of year

Suffering from a dearth of Cactus Blossoms and Chicken Critters at your neighborhood eateries?

Maybe not for much longer.

Texas Roadhouse is planning to open 14 new restaurants across 11 states by the end of 2025, a spokesperson for company confirmed to Nexstar this week. Texas Roadhouse Inc. — which is headquartered not in Texas but in Louisville, Kentucky — is also expanding the footprint of Bubba’s 33, its sister restaurant, with four new locations in 2025.

Where was the first Texas Roadhouse? Not Texas (or even Kentucky)

Texas Roadhouse’s plans to expand operations are consistent with CEO Jerry Morgan’s remarks upon the release of the company’s first-quarter earnings results in May.

“We continue to consistently grow our business through new store development, which included the opening of our 50th Bubba’s 33 restaurant this quarter,” said Morgan, adding that the company planned to “fund our development pipeline, maintain our existing restaurants, and pursue franchise acquisitions.”

The forthcoming Bubba’s 33 restaurants will be opening in Yuma, Arizona; Fort Wayne, Indiana; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Jacksonville, North Carolina.
