Chipotle is giving tattooed customers a BOGO deal for an hour on Friday the 13th
If you have a tattoo, Friday is your lucky day. Chipotle is giving away free entrees (burritos, salads, burrito bowls, tacos) to people who show their ink in honor of Friday the 13th. The company is running the promo as a nod to the tattoo shop tradition of dropping “flash sheets” of pre-designed tats on Friday the 13th. It’s a buy-one-get-one (BOGO) deal, and it only lasts for an hour. In order to snag the free burrito, tattooed customers have to go to a location on March 13th between 3-4pm, for what the company is calling a “flash” BOGO sale.
The BOGO deal stems from 2019’s Super Bowl halftime performance when fans on social media noticed Adam Levine, the lead singer of Maroon 5, was “tatted like a Chipotle bag.” The joke took off in meme form and the restaurant chain is embracing it with this promotion.

BOGO-seeking customers at one of the chain’s Miami locations will receive more than a free burrito. Chipotle partnered with hiphop performer Swae Lee to create a limited-edition temporary tattoo flash sheet inspired by the brand’s artwork on its carryout bags. Those who show up for the hour of BOGO meals will be given the sheet of temporary tats.
The Chipotle BOGO deal is not just limited to those who have actually gotten at tattoo. Temporary tattoos, a drawn-on design or other creative attempts could also count, at the discretion of the employees at your store. The deal is only available at the restaurants and not on mobile, catering, online or delivery orders and the tattooed person must be the one collecting the free item. Kids’ meals do not count for this deal – a regular entree must be purchased to receive the free entree.
