America’s Cinco de Mayo traditions may not always be an authentic reflection of Mexican culture, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be joyous celebrations filled with music, fun and food.
If you plan your day right, you could also get steep discounts on some of that Mexican-inspired cuisine (however authentic or inauthentic it may be).

- Baja Fresh: You can get $5.55 off your order on May 5 when placing an online order of $20 or more (before taxes) at Baja Fresh. Customers must be logged into their Club Baja rewards accounts and enter the code “CINCO” at checkout.
- Bonefish Grill: Signature martinis and margaritas at Bonefish Grill — including the Green Jeans Matcha Margarita and the 1901 Dirty Martinia — will be priced at just $5 each at participating locations on Cinco de Mayo. No other purchase is necessary, a representative for the restaurant confirmed to Nexstar.
- Bubbakoo’s Burritos: Customers who belong to the Bubbakoo’s rewards program can earn a free entrée (to be redeemed between May 6 and May 11) after purchasing any entrée on May 5.
- Chipotle: At 6 p.m. on May 5, Chipotle is launching an “Ingredient Quest” experience on Roblox, tasking players with collecting 53 virtual “ingredient cards.” The first 50,000 to do so will unlock a reward redeemable for a free entrée. (More information is available at Chipotle.com.) In addition, customers can get free delivery on May 5 with the offer code “DELIVER,” and free chips and queso by entering the offer code “CINCO25,” either on the app or online.
- Chuy’s: Chuy’s is celebrating Cinco de Mayo with a special $5 deal on queso bowls. Drink specials also include a $6 regular house margarita and a $9 grande house margarita.
- El Pollo Loco: El Pollo Loco customers who order online or via the chain’s app can redeem two free chicken tacos from a participating location when making any purchase of at least $15 on May 5.
- Hooters: On Cinco de Mayo, participating Hooters restaurants are offering $5 Dos Equis draft beers and $5 Legendary Margaritas. Dine-in customers who belong to the HootClub Rewards program (or join for free on May 5) can also order an appetizer from a select menu — which includes Tex Mex nachos, quesadilla bites and mozzarella sticks, among others — for just $5. (Offer limited to one per check.)
- Moe’s Southwest Grill: Participating locations of Moe’s Southwest Grill are offering a free side of queso for in-store customers who order a burrito on May 5. The first 20 customers at any participating location will also be given a free Cinco de Mayo-themed Moe’s T-shirt.
- Taco Bell: Customers who place delivery orders of $20 (before taxes and fees) via GrubHub, UberEats, DoorDash or Postmates can redeem a free order of Nachos Bell Grande from participating Taco Bell locations.
