Hot honey cottage cheese sweet potato beef bowl

One possible originator of this trending recipe is Gracie Norton, who posted a recipe for a hot honey cottage cheese sweet potato beef bowl Oct. 5, 2024, on TikTok.

“I think beef bowls are finally getting the love that they deserve,” Norton said. “They’re easy to make, they’re high protein and they just hit the spot every single time.”

She cooked her ground beef with Siete taco seasoning before melting in some shredded cheese. In a bowl, she layered roasted sweet potatoes, beef, pineapple chunks, half of an avocado, cottage cheese, pepper and hot honey.

Dumpling bake

Bake frozen dumplings in a mixture of light coconut milk, Thai red curry paste, soy sauce, fish sauce, sesame oil and garlic, and top with chili crisp, chopped cilantro, sliced green onions and sesame seeds to make this viral dish.

“Anytime I see this recipe on TikTok I save it immediately and tell myself I’m going to make it,” said Taryn Elise in a TikTok posted in July.

Cabbage boil

@bigpapahannah is often credited with creating the mega-viral food trend of the cabbage boil. In a TikTok posted Aug. 9 that has since amassed 2 million likes, the creator shows how to make the butter-laden vegetable.

First, cut off the stem of a whole cabbage, peel off a few outside layers and core out the center with a sharp knife. Poke some holes in the cabbage to allow the seasonings and butter to penetrate. Dry off the cabbage before drenching it in olive oil. Season with salt, Tony Chachere’s Creole seasoning, lemon pepper, Old Bay seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika and chicken bouillon. Add a pat of butter in the hollowed center of the cabbage. Wrap it with aluminum foil, and cook at 385°F for 1 hour and 30 minutes to 1 hour and 45 minutes, depending on the size of the cabbage. Halfway through cooking, add some water on top of the cabbage to help it steam. Once the cabbage has finished baking, top with parsley and melted butter mixed with the seasonings above.
