Mike’s Hot honey lattes and cocktails may soon become mainstream.
Mike’s Hot Honey recently launched Mike’s Hot Honey Syrup, designed for “baristas, bartenders and operators to easily add a balanced, flavorful kick to drinks,” according to a press release. The new product is not yet available at grocery stores — foodservice and hospitality professionals can order through its wholesale program, and consumers can order through the company’s website.
What started as a sweet and spicy pizza topping in 2010 is slowly carving a niche for itself in the beverage industry. In August, Ziggi’s Coffee and Mike’s Hot Honey partnered to create the Mike’s Hot Honey Latte, featuring buttery pecan and hot honey flavors. In September, AriZona launched a collaboration with Mike’s Hot Honey, debuting three new hot honey-infused AriZona flavors: Spicy Watermelon, Spicy Green Tea and Spicy Mucho Mango.

Local coffee shops have been incorporating Mike’s Hot Honey into lattes for years, including Southern California chain Blk Dot and New York City-based Vanilla Gorilla Cafe.
While the Mike’s Hot Honey website lists a variety of cocktail recipes featuring the namesake ingredient, it’s yet to become commonplace at cocktail bars. Mike’s Hot Honey Syrup may change that.
QSR magazine previously reported in a sponsored post by Mike’s Hot Honey that menu “mentions” of hot honey jumped 187% between 2016 and 2020. The hype continued past 2020 with hot honey cottage cheese sweet potato beef bowl being the most searched dish nationwide in 2025, according to Google Trends.
