Here are 9 food deals for National Sandwich Day
If you need a break from munching on Halloween candy, how about a sandwich? This year, National Sandwich Day falls on Election Day, and your favorite sandwich spots are offering BOGOs, discounts and even free sandwiches in celebration.
National Sandwich Day falls on the same day as the birthday of the man who many credit to be the inventor of the sandwich. John Montagu, 4th Earl of Sandwich, is rumored to have created the sandwich due to his penchant for gambling. Rather than take time away from the card table, he requested slices of meat between two slices of bread to eat while continuing to gamble.
