Costco offering $199 Thanksgiving dinner for 8 people, as long as nobody wants a turkey leg

Costco has unveiled a $199 Thanksgiving dinner deal for online customers. But turkey purists may have a bone to pick (figuratively) with the main dish.

Costco’s “Complete Gourmet Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner,” which is currently available for preorder, comes with many of the side dishes and desserts you might expect on a traditional Thanksgiving table. But instead of a whole bone-in bird as the main entrée, Costco’s dinner kit is instead centered around a 5-pound turkey breast — meaning no dark meat, no turkey legs and no wings.

“This juicy turkey breast is from birds raised on small farms in the Amish community, in free-range conditions on a diet of wholesome grains and surplus vegetables without the use of any antibiotics or hormones,” Costco writes of the turkey breast, adding that it comes “pre-brined” and ready for the oven.

Alongside the turkey breast, Costco’s Thanksgiving meal includes:

  • 24 ounces of turkey gravy
  • A 3-pound tray of heat-and-serve mashed potatoes
  • A 3-pound tray of heat-and-serve mac and cheese
  • A 3-pound tray of sweet corn
  • A 3-pound tray of green bean casserole (green beans come frozen but “ready to thaw and cook”)
  • A 3-pound tray of ready-made cornbread stuffing
  • 2 pounds of pre-cooked candied yams
  • A 20-ounce pack of cranberry relish
  • 12 dinner rolls
  • A 2-pound tray of pre-made apple cobbler
  • 1 pre-made pumpkin pie

According to Costco, the components of the meal weigh a combined 30 pounds and can feed eight guests.

Costco’s Complete Gourmet Thanksgiving Dinner is also an online-only offering, with pre-order currently available at Costco.com. Deliveries of pre-orders are expected to begin Nov. 4, but orders placed by Nov. 13 will arrive by Nov. 20, according to Costco.

“Preferred delivery dates subject to availability and while supplies last,” the retailer warns.

At a discounted price of $199.99 (Costco’s site indicates the price “was” once $269.99), the meal works out to $25 per person, making it one of the more expensive Thanksgiving dinner deals currently available at national retailers or grocery outlets. Costco’s price, however, includes delivery, and many of the meal’s components come ready to heat and eat, while some competing offerings may require more intensive cooking.

Other holiday deals offered by major retailers ahead of Thanksgiving 2026 include Walmart’s “Meal Basket,” designed to serve 10 for $35; Aldi’s dinner-for-10, said to cost less than $39; and Target’s Thanksgiving meal deal, designed to feed six for $30. Sam’s Club also has a Thanksgiving dinner for 16, priced at “about $160.”
