McDonald’s new KPop Demon Hunters Happy Meal comes with umami fries and purple “demon sauce”
Unless you live under a rock (or don’t have kids), you know all about KPop Demon Hunters. The Netflix animated movie about a KPop girl group that performs by day and slays demons by night was the hit of the summer. Now, KPop icons HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys, the bands from the film, are the stars of two adult Happy Meals set to hit McDonald’s locations on March 31.
If you’re not familiar with the film’s plot, here’s a quick drill-down: The girl group, HUNTR/X, has Rumi, Mira, Zoey, pop idols who just happen to be demon hunters. The Saja Boys, demons disguised as a boy band, are their rivals. The movie’s featured song “Golden” won multiple awards including an Oscar. Now, McDonald’s is hopping on the KPop fandom wagon with a set of Happy Meals dedicated to celebrating the film.
