Stan Makowski, the former mayor of Buffalo, New York, established National Chicken Wing Day in 1977, according to the holiday’s official website. There are multiple claims as to the invention of the dish, but one of the most popular is that the chicken wings we know and love today were invented in 1964 by Teressa Bellissimo, who owned the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York. When her son and his college friends wanted a late-night bite to eat, Bellissimo deep-fried chicken wings, typically used for soup stock, and tossed them in butter and hot sauce. The result was an instant hit, according to the National Chicken Wing Day website.

bb.q Chicken
This Korean-fried chicken chain is offering 15% off and free delivery (up to $12) when using code WING25 on July 29, the company announced in a press release. Additionally, participating stores will include a can of Milkis, a Korean creamy soda, with every order, while supplies last.
Beef ‘O’ Brady’s
Buy 10 traditional or boneless wings at Beef ‘O’ Brady’s and get five free; buy 20 and get 10 free; or buy 30 and get 15 free on July 20, the company announced on social media. Blue cheese and celery are not included.
Buffalo Wild Wings

Glory Days Grill
This Virginia-founded chain is celebrating all month with all-you-can-eat jumbo wings for $16 from Sunday to Thursday through July 31.
Hooters
Dine in at Hooters on July 29 to get a BOGO deal on any style 10-piece wings.
Hurricane Grill & Wings
This Florida-founded chain is offering 99 cent wings all day long with a minimum purchase of five wings, according to parent company Fat Brands.
