Domino's facade

Domino’s is giving customers $5 to test its new website and app

It’s a tale as old as the internet. You type in the web address of your favorite pizza spot (or just open the app these days), go to order your usual ‘za, only to be met with all kinds of glitches and errors at checkout. The page reloads endless times; the dreaded rainbow volleyball keeps spinning, and before you know it, you’ve lost your appetite for pizza altogether. Luckily, it’s not as frequent an occurrence these days (save for the occasional and incessantly annoying app bug), but Domino’s is hoping it’s squashed the bug for good. And it wants to pay you to test it out.

The world’s largest pizza chain quietly revamped its website and app earlier this year as part of a larger brand identity overhaul, and instead of just mining your data for free, Domino’s wants to pay you $5 for your honest, unfiltered opinion on whether or not the changes have made a difference. Simply place an order online or through the new and improved Domino’s app and complete the accompanying survey at the end of your order to receive the coupon. You can even skip the survey and still get the coupon if you choose to.

Solo Stove has discounts on popular fire pits this week

Talk about an easy side gig. The only caveat is that the $5 coupon must be used within the following week, and the promotion only lasts until Aug. 30. The good news is there doesn’t appear to be a limit to how many times you can share your feedback and acquire a coupon. Effectively, you’re being elevated from passive consumer to a certifiable beta-tester without even having to apply for the job. If only we could actually get paid to eat pizza full-time.

In a press release about the promo, Mark Messing, Domino’s vice president of global digital marketing, explained,  “We streamlined our website and app to make them bolder, brighter, more modern and engaging for customers, but we want to hear from them.” And just in case you missed it, you don’t actually have to complete the survey to receive the coupon. “While it’s not required to receive the coupon, we’d still love to hear what worked for them and what we could improve, because we know customer feedback is what matters most,” Messing says.

If you feel like you’re up to the job and want to go ahead and get started making some cash (albeit in the form of a coupon), simply head to Domino’s website or download the app.
