These new Trader Joe’s items are a must for August
Trader Joe’s is saying goodbye to summer with a bunch of tasty new items: Proteinmaxx with Trader Joe’s new Chicken Burgers and Tater Bites, or indulge in a summery treat with Mango Sticky Rice and Pineapple Coconut Bars. Some new items will stay around for a while (like Paneer and Pasta Primavera), while others (like Mascarpone & Mixed-Berries Gelato and Raspberry Filled Donuts) are limited-time offerings.
New frozen foods at Trader Joe’s this month
All Mixed Up Ice Cream ($3.99): This ice cream pint is sure to satisfy your sweet cravings. All Mixed Up Ice Cream features a vanilla base swirled with peanut butter and mixed with chocolate sandwich creme cookie pieces, candy-coated pretzels, mini chocolate peanut butter cups and rainbow sprinkles.

Cubes of Just Seedless Passion Fruit Puree ($2.99): This limited-time frozen offering features the puree of approximately 15 passion fruits harvested in Vietnam. There’s all sorts of ways to use these frozen fruit cubes: add frozen to a smoothie or cocktail, or defrost to add to yogurt, pancakes or ice cream.

Mango Sticky Rice ($4.69): For a delectable summertime treat, just microwave these individually portioned mango sticky rice trays. Two servings come in a box, with each featuring sticky rice, coconut syrup, ripe mango and crispy mung beans.

Mascarpone & Mixed Berries Gelato Style Frozen Dessert ($4.99): Available through September, this limited-time frozen dessert is half mascarpone and half mixed berry, allowing you to mix and match flavors to your liking.

Pasta Primavera ($4.49): Pasta Primavera features zucchini, red bell peppers, broccoli florets and strozzapreti egg pasta (an elongated scroll shape). Simply reheat the package of frozen pasta in a skillet or microwave.

Pineapple Coconut Bars ($3.79): These limited-time popsicles are made from coconut cream and pineapple juice, making for a refreshing pina colada-esque dessert.

Raspberry Filled Donuts ($3.99): Dyed pink with red beet powder, these raspberry-filled doughnuts are a limited-time offering made in Belgium.

Everything But The Bartender Paloma ($9.99): The newest addition to Trader Joe’s ready-to-drink cocktail line, this canned Paloma packs a whopping 15% ABV. The cocktail is made from tequila, agave syrup, red grapefruit juice and lime juice, and pairs great with a Chili Lime Seasoning Blend rim.

Pair it with spicy foods, and don’t wait too long to try it — it’s only available through September.

Paneer Indian Style Cheese ($4.99): Cheese that doesn’t melt? Trader Joe’s is now carrying paneer, a staple of North Indian cuisine that’s often grilled, fried or baked as a vegetarian protein. Pan-fry it, then mix it with Trader Joe’s Tikka Masala Curry Sauce and serve it with Organic Basmati Rice and Tandoori Naan.

The Sheepish Pesto ($6.49): Only available during the month of August, The Sheepish Pesto is a sheep’s milk cheese injected with herby, garlicky pesto.

Caro Sugo Datterino Cherry Tomatoes & Roasted Garlic Pasta Sauce ($5.49): If this pasta sauce looks familiar, it’s because it is! Trader Joe’s introduced this sauce as part of the Trio of Italian Pasta Sauce it debuted during the holidays. Now, TJ’s is bringing it back as a standalone jar for a limited time. This sauce is made with Datterino cherry tomatoes from Puglia, Italy, as well as roasted garlic, basil, sea salt and onions.

Dark Chocolate Bark with Pistachios, Dried Jalapenos, & Sea Salt ($5.99): A new (slightly spicy!) flavor of dark chocolate bark has been introduced at Trader Joe’s, joining the Dark Chocolate Bark with Puffed Quinoa & Dried Raspberries and the Dark Chocolate Bark with Almond, Pretzel & Sea Salt.

Chicken Salad Croissant Sandwich ($4.49): This new grab-and-go offering is made from classic American chicken salad (think celery, carrots, green onions and mayo), crunchy green leaf lettuce and a buttery and flaky croissant.

Potato with Cheese and Chives Tater Bites ($3.49): Made from potatoes, eggs, cottage cheese, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, Monterey Jack cheese and chives, this refrigerated breakfast item has 16 grams of protein in every package.

Tuna Salad Croissant Sandwich ($4.49): Similar to the new Chicken Salad Croissant Sandwich, this version is stuffed with tuna salad made from yellowfin tuna, celery, green onion, mayo and Dijon mustard.
