Taco Bell is adding a new twist to one of its most recognizable menu items, giving rewards members the chance to try it before it launches nationwide.
The chain recently announced that the Cantina Chicken Mexican Pizza and Jalapeño Citrus Salsa will debut nationwide on May 21. Taco Bell Rewards Members can get early access to the item May 19–20 through the Taco Bell app.
McDonald’s is slowly phasing out self-serve fountain soda machines
The Cantina Chicken Mexican Pizza features slow‑roasted chicken and black beans layered between crispy tortillas, finished with green chile sauce, a three‑cheese blend, cabbage, and Pico de Gallo. It’s served with the new Jalapeño Citrus Salsa and an Avocado Verde Salsa.
The new items are available for $6.49.

“The Mexican Pizza is iconic for a reason. It’s that perfect layering of crispy, saucy, cheesy nostalgia that fans have loved for years, so we didn’t want to reinvent it — we wanted to build on it,” said Liz Matthews, Taco Bell’s global chief food innovation officer. “And because we know our fans are serious about sauce, we made sure the Jalapeño Citrus Salsa brings the extra spark that complements the Cantina menu.”

Taco Bell said the new pizza, first teased at its Live Más Live event in March, is the first of several Mexican Pizza variations in development.
The company used its March Live Más Live showcase to preview more than 20 upcoming menu items.
Among them: the permanent return of Nacho Fries, new Flamin’ Hot Nacho Fries with a spicy cheese sauce, a lineup of seasoned chicken nuggets with various flavor dustings, and new desserts including the Mountain Dew Baja Midnight Pie and Chocolate Fudge & Caramel Empanadas.
