These Cinco de Mayo food deals are sure to spice up Taco Tuesday
Chains are going all out with Cinco de Mayo deals, with cheap margaritas, discount codes and even a trip to the Caribbean. Not to be confused with Mexican Independence Day, Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican army’s unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. It’s since become a celebration of Mexican-American culture and heritage.
Cinco de Mayo coincides with Taco Tuesday this year — another great reason to grab a few food deals or margs to celebrate.

These 25 chains are offering freebies, discounts and giveaways for Cinco de Mayo
7-Eleven
7-Eleven is giving out BOGO burritos for Cinco de Mayo — and no code or rewards membership is required. Not only that, the convenience store is offering its new, limited-time Walking Taco that’s served in a chip bag for $6 and small wine-based frozen margaritas for $3.
7Rewards and Speedy Rewards members can get $3 off select beers, including Modelo Especial, Pacifico Clara and Coronita Extra, using their rewards at checkout.
7-Eleven is also launching new snacks and bakery items, including 7-Select Spicy Guacamole Tortilla Chips and two mantecadas or conchas in chocolate or vanilla for $3.
Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar
The burger chain is dropping the price of its Bad Ass Margarita to just $5 on Cinco de Mayo. It’s also rolling out a limited-time Smashadilla Burger, made with taco-seasoned smash patties, melty Monterey Jack, pico de gallo, chipotle ranch and avocado sandwiched between quesadilla “buns” and served with red salsa.
