Finally, a Sprite flavor that’s fit to drink with a plate of crumpets.
The Coca-Cola Company on Monday debuted its newest flavor of Sprite — Sprite + Tea — across retail channels in the U.S. and Canada. The beverage, which combines the Sprite formula with “the classically refreshing flavor of tea,” was reportedly born out of a trend that originated on social media, wherein Sprite drinkers would steep tea in their sodas.
“We’re always listening to our consumers, but this particular phenomenon motivated us to explore how we could offer our own refreshing take on tea,” Kate Schaufelberger, the brand director of Sprite North America, said in a statement included with a press release.
The limited-time drink will be available in both original and Zero Sugar varieties, per the release.

A representative for Sprite was not immediately available to provide additional details concerning ingredients or nutrition facts. A product page for Sprite + Tea was not available at the U.S. version of Sprite’s website as of Monday morning, but a description on the Canadian version of the site listed “natural flavour” and “caramel colour” among the ingredients. The sugar and calorie content of Sprite + Tea and regular Sprite were the same, per the Canadian site.
The soda is also said to be caffeine-free.
A couple of reviewers on TikTok who sampled Sprite + Tea on Monday enjoyed the flavor, with one claiming it “reminds me of an Arnold Palmer” and another saying it had a similar aroma to Brisk, referencing a beverage brand owned by PepsiCo and Unilever.
Subtle yet significant chances coming to In-N-Out offerings
Sprite’s newest flavor also comes only weeks after Beverage Digest reported that the brand had overtaken Pepsi as the third-most popular soda in terms of sales data, according to a report from Beverage Digest provided to Adweek and MarketingDive. (The top two are Coca-Cola and Dr. Pepper.)
In addition to classic Sprite and Sprite + Tea, Sprite’s current beverage portfolio in the U.S. consists of Sprite Cherry, Sprite Lymonade and Sprite Tropical Mix. The brand’s official site also lists two varieties of Sprite Chill, which are “accentuated by a proprietary blend of cooling agents,” even though the first “Chill” offering was introduced as “limited-time-only” in 2024.
