Starbucks to bring back viral drink for one weekend in August

Starbucks’ Unicorn Frappuccino, the vibrant, photogenic drink that briefly resurfaced at this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, is making another limited-time return.

The company said the bright pink-and-blue beverage will be available at select Starbucks stores in the United States and internationally “for one magical weekend to close out the summer starting Aug. 15.”

The Unicorn Frappuccino first went viral in 2017 for its bright colors and mango flavor, quickly becoming a social media sensation.

Aside from its appearance at Coachella, the drink hasn’t been offered on menus since its debut.

“Graduated with the unicorn frappe in 2016 and will be pulling up to my 10 year reunion with one in hand,” one user on Instagram commented. Another called it the “best news ever.”

Starbucks is also taking inspiration from a childhood throwback for another summer drink line. Later this month, five Orange Cream beverages will join the menu.
