Shake Shack is giving away free burgers for the entire month of May in honor of National Burger Month.
Customers must spend at least $10 in-store, online or through the app and use code FREEBURGER to redeem the promotion at participating U.S. locations, the New York-based chain announced in a release.

The giveaway rotates between three of the burger chain’s most popular offerings, depending on which week in May a customer redeems the offer:
- May 1-10: ShackBurger
- May 11-17: SmokeShack
- May 18-24: Bacon Cheeseburger
- May 25-31: ShackBurger
Add-ons, like bacon or crispy onions, are not included in the deal unless they’re already among the ingredients on the week’s giveaway burger, according to Shake Shack.
