About this recipe

Everyone loves a good dip, and they’re a sneakily effective way to get kids to eat more vegetables or a nutritious snack for football season.

Honey mustard is a popular dipping sauce for chicken nuggets. Dietitian Kim Galeaz took the flavors of honey mustard and incorporated them into hummus. She recommends serving the dip with fresh, crunchy vegetables, such as mini bell peppers, baby carrots and sugar snap peas.

How to make homemade French onion dip

Not only is this delicious dip healthy, it’s easy to make. This recipe takes less than 10 minutes.

“There’s nothing to chop, slice or dice because I’m using garlic powder and onion powder,” Galeaz said. “Instead of cutting and squeezing lemons, I’m using this already prepared 100% pure lemon juice that you can find in the juice aisle.”

If you want to kick things up a notch, make it spicy with a hot honey drizzle over the top.
