Craving Chipotle, but not really? Good news: The fast-casual restaurant will soon sell just cups of meat.
This week, Chipotle announced plans to debut a new High-Protein Menu featuring several items made with larger portions of its adobo chicken. One item, in particular, is just adobo chicken and nothing else.

The High Protein Cup, as Chipotle is calling it, is simply a 4-ounce serving of adobo chicken in a small side cup. Describing the item as the Chipotle menu’s “first-ever snack,” the High Protein Cup provides 32 grams of protein and just 180 calories, according to Chipotle.
Customers can also choose to order steak in their High Protein Cups, though Chipotle did not provide nutrition facts in a press release issued Thursday. Nutrition facts published online indicate the steak cup would contain 21 grams of protein and 150 calories.
The High Protein Cup, along with some of the others on the High Protein Menu, were said to be inspired by real-life orders that protein-hungry customers have ordered off-menu.

“For years, guests have used Chipotle’s customizable offerings to build high protein and fiber-filled meals on their own,” Chris Brandt, Chipotle’s president and chief brand officer, was quoted as saying in the press release. “This curated menu brings that fan behavior to the forefront with clean ingredients and flexible portions, making protein and other dietary goals easier to reach in just a few taps.”
Chipotle said prices for the High Protein Cup may vary by location, but provided a “national weighted average price” of $3.82.

Other items on the High Protein Menu include a Double High Protein Bowl and a Double High Protein Burrito, each made with a double serving of adobo chicken (and a “light” serving of rice, or no rice). There’s also a High Protein-High Fiber Bowl, a High Protein-Low Calorie Salad (both said to be “GLP-1 friendly”), and an Adobo Chicken Taco.
The High Protein Menu at Chipotle will debut nationwide on Tuesday, Dec. 23.
In the meantime, Chipotle still offers the option to add double meat (for a total of 8 ounces) to its entrees. They also won’t balk at selling you an entire bowl of just meat, as customers on TikTok have proven.
