The chain already operates stores in 48 states and had two new stores open already so far this year. During a time when grocery prices are high and continuing to rise, Trader Joe’s offers something different to its loyal customer base. The chain only carries about 4,000 unique products, most of them the store’s own brand. This includes fun snacks, frozen items and seasonal foods that people are excited to see return to shelves each year. They also operate the Neighborhood Shares Program where stores donate unsold (but still good to eat) items to local food recovery agencies. It’s pretty cool to get all of your favorite treats and also know that whatever isn’t sold can go toward helping those in need.
