Pink Starbucks Bearista cup on top of girl's head

A pink Starbucks ‘Bearista’ cup is coming so get ready for absolute mayhem

Whether you were a part of it or not, you’re likely well aware of the all-out chaos that ensued when Starbucks released the viral ‘Bearista’ cup last November. If not, to give you a brief synopsis, Starbucks recently unveiled the most adorable glass teddy bear-shaped tumblers, complete with an appropriately hipster beanie and straw, a few months ago. They were so cute, in fact, that fans effectively rushed stores to grab one, depleting inventory almost instantly. The $29.95 cups then started popping up on resale sites like eBay for prices upwards of $350.

Even more so, there were literal fights and several angry social media posts made accusing Starbucks employees of hoarding cups before they were even available to the public. It’s the cup that literally broke the internet. And after selling out the highly anticipated restock earlier this month, Starbucks is aiming for viral fame once again with the launch of a new pink Bearista cold cup that might be more adorable than the last one.

Amazon Prime Day kitchen deals are huge

As if there wasn’t enough pandemonium last time, Starbucks announced that it would be bringing back the viral cup with a Pink Drink-inspired twist as part of an entire merch collection dedicated to the rosy-colored beverage. Unlike its predecessor, this version of the cutest tumbler, maybe ever, sports a pink and white baseball hat with an apropos pink strawberry straw topper as a nod to the Strawberry Acai beverage that makes up the beloved Pink Drink.

Starbucks Reserve Rewards members will get early access to purchase the cup through the brand’s new website, Starbucks Shop, on July 9. The cups will then make their way to select coffeehouses across the U.S on July 13. To help combat some of the bedlam, customers will be held to a two-item purchase limit in stores and online. While the exact price of the limited-edition tumbler wasn’t disclosed, it’s expected to be priced around $29.95, matching its viral counterpart.

In addition to launching the beary cute tumblers, Starbucks will also be dropping more merch inspired by one of the brand’s most popular creations. Although full details haven’t been released yet, a quick glance at the official photos of the pink Beartista cup shows a model wearing a matching baseball cap with the viral bear, as well as a pink hoodie. That being said, it’s worth noting again that in order to snag the pink Bearista cup early, you’ll have to be a Reserve-level rewards member.

To reach Reserve status, customers must earn 2,500 Stars in a 12-month period, which translates to roughly $2,500 at $1 per star. Of course, if you’re savvy, you could cut that cost almost in half by reloading your digital Starbucks card in the app and earning bonus points. Either way, we know where we’ll be on July 13. You might even want to get in line early.
